Day 11 - Ghost Rider
Wilco - A Ghost is Born
Today in 1972, Alice Cooper was at No.1 on the UK singles chart with 'School's Out'.
Cooper has said he was inspired to write the song when answering the question, "What's the greatest three minutes of your life?". Cooper said: "There's two times during the year. One is Christmas morning, the next one is the last three minutes of the last day of school."
So I looked round to hitch up the reindeer
Searching hard trying to brighten the day
I turned around to look for the snowman
To my surprise he'd melted away, yeah
Led Zeppelin - Hots On for Nowhere
Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones and John Bonham played together for the first time when they rehearsed at a studio in Gerrard Street in London's West End this day, August 12th, 1968.
Time to help you out. Emmylou Harris knows who the Reindeer is. Hell she may even save him the Last Dance:
Mark Knopfler's Birthday
The Reindeer is Floyd Cramer who wrote "Rudolph the rednose reindeer".
Floyd Cramer co-wrote the track "(Lost His Love) On Our Last Date", from the Emmylou Harris album
Cramer and Chet Atkins collaborated a bunch.
Atkins and Knopfler collaborated too
More specifically, Floyd Cramer plays in the Atkins/Knopfler album Neck and Neck
Mark guested on Emmylou's Christmas album "Light Of The Stable"
I edited with the explanation
It's not Mark Knopler
Buck Owens birthday. Emmylou's "Last Date" LP, taken from a Floyd Cramer song, featured the song "Buckaroo".
Also we can all see how tired I am. Last Date not Dance...
The Buckaroos are a band led by Buck Owens in the 60's
Well, Emmylou Harris did collaborate with Buck Owens on the song "Play Together Again, Again".
but other than that and the fact that reindeers are bucks, I'm lost
EDIT: oh, and Owens co-wrote the track "Buckaroo" / "Love's Gonna Live Here" (medley)
Winner winner chicken dinner. A point each...
Was it the reindeers are bucks thing? ahah
P.S.: I think you forgot to add the points from yesterday's challenge
I just did... lol
Actually a male reindeer is called a bull.
