Lol my first system was gamecube. I found out a few years ago that my dad had a Super Nintendo that he kept hidden from me until we moved and he sold it. I was disappointed in him for multiple reasons.

First console I owned was the Genesis, but I had many a Atari 2600 all-night gaming session when I was a kid.

My first favorite game was Mega Man III, because of the mysterious SECRET bosses and so on

I'll always remember when my mom brought home the Nintendo. We had Mario+Duck Hunt, Double Dragon II, Bubble Bobble, Galaga, and Contra. My earliest memory is my mom teaching me how to play Mario and I couldn't grasp the concept of holding down the the directions, so I pressed it repeatedly, scooting Mario across the screen. I must have been 4?

I was so mad when she beat Double Dragon before me.

I love mine. I want to get a switch (which would warrant me trading my wii u for credit) but there's still stuff I'd like to knock out kn my U. Zelda DLC, a bounty of virtual console games and smash bros.

I still get the urge to play Breath of the Wild even though, I've done virtually all there is to do.

    Don't be a dick?

I play Zelda and Mario Kart on my Wii. I don't like Splatoon. The Mario/Rabbids game is more like second tier importance. Odyssey is the first time I've been enticed.

i guess eshop games are also second tier importance. Also worth noting Mario Kart has differences in switch port

I don't feel like I need a Switch either yet, and also new Mario is the first game for it that has me wanting one. And as far as eshop, most of those games not only are on other platforms, but have been on other platforms for a while and are often cheaper there.

Also there's the no way to backup saves/no cloud saves issue which is horrendous. And terrible online. And no trophies.

A Hat in Time is adorable and fun as heck! This is closer to what I wished the spirit of Yooka-Laylee captured. If you like Mario Sunshine/Galaxy you'll really enjoy this game. Controls are tight, the characters are fun, and it's just fun to explore the levels.
