Bela Fleck & Chris Thile in Richmond in May, Punch Brothers and I'm With Her in Raleigh in August. There are an awesome slate of concerts at the NC museum of art this summer. My wife and I got a membership as a result.

So, does anybody know what it would take to put together a "The Spins" event in our area together? Would love to make this happen.

I know @lee newman knows my local preferences (including all of who was mentioned in this post) but I absolutely love Bombadil. The Rainbow Kitten Surprise is getting pretty big and they deserve it. I dig Sylvan Esso(hoping to pick it up this month). Steep Canyon Rangers and Mandolin Orange are some more of my more folky/bluegrass local likes who I think dad forgot to mention. I know a lot of Boone local bands since I'm at App...

So a work situation came up where in the fall I MIGHT have to move from Syracuse, NY to Charlotte, NC.

...Which would be a huge change for me...BUTTTT Priorities, First!

WHERE IS THE BEST SPOT FOR ME TO FIND RECORDS?

The possibility to stay and work remotely from Upstate, NY still exists...But trying to cover my bases just in case. Only time will tell.

I HIGHLY recommend Lunchbox Records off of Central Ave. They never have let me down. Another one I would suggest is Repo Records. They are a little more pricey than Lunchbox, but they have a solid selection as well

I just discovered them last week! They were recommended to me via Spotify as I was listening to Susto (my Charleston native fave).

    Howdy fellow charlestonian!

Mandolin Orange are fantastic, their voices are made for one another.
