There's a really bad one on the link I posted. Really bad. You'll know.
there's so many contenders here. 3rd down?
also i think that frivolous five should be on a "best" list.
Scroll down- Best of Birth Control
yes i saw that one too. also the bestiality one. which wouldn't have been so bad if it weren't for the giant "bestiality" title right above it.
My local record store had this for quite awhile ... I'd see it every time I went. I should have bought it.
this thread has been alternatingly hilarious and enraging.
I mean, I want to argue with you, but I'm probably definitely one of those people, haha.
My pick is Imagine Dragons' second album, Smoke + Mirrors. I thought their first album was a great rock pop album and that the band had a lot of potential. But then they put out their second album, I listened to it through once, and thought to myself "wtf did I just listen to??" while shedding a tear over wasted talent. It's just a seriously atrocious haphazard melange of raucous beats and trite lyrics that takes a list of trends in pop music and ticks them off one by one, just for the sake of it. It's so, so bad.
So bad that it's stickying pudding delish.
Gonna echo the sentiments of @Melt Face Molly Drop for Riff Raff -- can't stop listening to some of his songs.
I legit think this is a sadistic Toy Story ripoff every time I see it. Like, this is a subplot where they recap Sid's fūcked up childhood.
Fever to Tell cover is also an atrocity. I like YYYs quite a bit but they have some of the most godforsaken covers ever produced.
William Hung's only 2 albums ever released would make a death row inmate want to move his execution date up.
A local label did a 7" for Corey on RSD this year which felt like the nadir of the whole event. To each their own, I guess.
aw i kinda like this one. at least i don't have to wonder whether or not a mosquito is piercing a garbage kids rectum.
I never really paid attention to this album cover until it was potentially the ROTM but when I saw it the first thing I thought was how ugly it was.
it's truly impossible to get past that. i can't even appreciate the font. and reading the explainer of the "vision" for the cover by the artist is stickying pudding baffling.
I used to think this cover was plain bad, but now I've shifted it to the "so bad it's good" territory.
i like the tires. and the car.
But the car is not made out of rubber though. Does not compute.
Just thought of a controversial one: Flume.
Not sure how popular he is outside Australia, but its just about heresy to say that here. Most of his production sounds like it sacrifices rythym for 'weird computery sounds', nothing wrong with weird computery sounds; but the way he does it is very jarring for me and much more literally unlistenable than other music that I simply dont like. His Hyperparadise remix is great though.
I don't like this thread very much. IMO, it's very negative.
