Boo! Wait don’t you do boring law?
I’m just happy somebody finally listed The Cardigans - Gran Turismo. As far as I’m concerned it gets all the points.
The fact that I had no room for Moon Safari, Mezzanine, and the Shape of Punk to come on my top 10 tells me 98 may just be my favorite year of music
Yeah very boring law! I share an office space with 4 other people and there is a management thought process that music would be distracting. I mean they asked me politely to bring my little nespresso machine home last year because it “looked unprofessional” in the office and “created a distraction”.
Yep! It’s not just land law I want to escape...
I mean, by the end of this year... I should have a space I feel much more comfortable with being mine at work. As upgrades happen, I will be moving my current amp (it’s default speakers) and a Cheap DAC there. The folks who have the office I squat in (I have a tiny office way on the other side of campus) have graciously put up with me and my noise.
As much as I grew to be extremely annoyed by the oversaturation of DMB in the early 2000s and basically didn't listen to them for a decade or more because of it, I will always ride pretty hard for their first three albums.
Yeah, in time if i get my own space my Sony amp/radio/cd player and and tannoy speakers may be relocated there. Can’t see it happening if I stay in the department where I am...
Looking at it..I think every year from 97-2000 are some of the most stacked for me. Most of my favorites though I wasn't listening to back then at all, or even heard of them
Well then expect another tough week next week....
Omg 1998 was crazy good. I think I’m going to have to do the list from my college age self rather than my current self in order to help narrow it down.
That's precisely what I did.
25 year old me was still a chef and had a two year old and was freshly divorced. He had not figured any of this out yet and while I remember lots of the music from that time... I don’t remember a whole lot else. Not sure I even know where to find 25 year old me. I’m sure he’s in a haze somewhere in some dead brain cells of mine.
Ooooooh 2000 is completely stacked. I’m looking forward to that dilemma!
