I've seen them play easily a dozen times, and only twice has it been sub par. And yea they do play instruments, and I've seen them play 2+ hour sets more than half the times ive seen them.

    Also sticky pudding Bruce Springsteen

@Woob_woob Do you know if they are hard to catch after the shows? I would love to get some of my stuff auto'd by the boys. Also, when people do that, do they bring their vinyl into the show, leave it in the car and wait outside a bus or something, or do they purchase them there? Just curious and really excited and you seem to know your sh*t. One more thing, would you get Animal Crack Box or Spirit signed or do they think they are better left alone since they are fairly rare. What was the merch like, any exclusives?

I'm not one for waiting for bands after shows for signatures, so I don't really know how hard they are to catch, or what to do with stuff you want signed. I did meet Panda and Geologist before shows on seperate occassions, and Panda seemed a little stand offish, while Geologist was really friendly, but this was years ago. As for merch, they have a tour t-shirt, which has all of the 3 Painting with covers miniaturized and repeated throughout the front, and they also had a pillow case which I wish was a shirt. As for records the had the main albums from Sung Tongs to Painting with for sale, but no tour exclusive stuff.

I've still been listening to this pretty frequently, and always finding new things to like. I think this may be my favorite album so far this year. It likely will not come out on top of my year end list, but I think it'll make an appearance. There are so many melodies and little moments that I look forward to with every listen. On Delay is seriously the best, and I always love hearing Panda's background vocals on it.

I saw Avey Tare and Panda Bear live with Hair Police and Spencer Yeh a long time ago and they were AWFUL. I left after a few minutes.

Same here, I've been kind of surprised at how often it's been my go-to album. Current favorite is The Burglars, but that also changes every week or so.

Deakin, who was gone from the Painting With sessions, has officially released his first batch of solo material.
It's only $6 and you can get it here: https://deakinjams.bandcamp.com/releases

Also, it looks like he won't be releasing physical copies anytime soon (except to those who were part of the original kickstarter for this project years ago, and even then it is only on cassette I think).

I need some more time with this new Deakin album, but I do like it a lot. It's different than the other AnCo solo projects. He definitely has his own style, and it honestly feels a little more clear and less cluttered than some of Panda's solo stuff (which I love, don't get me wrong...they're just both different approaches).

I downloaded it this morning but didn't have time to listen to it yet. He's my least favorite member, but I'm excited to listen to it

Solid. Might swap out Derek for another Strawberry Jam track, but at the same time I still do really like that song.

I think I like Derek more than most AC fans, but it's my brothers name, so it holds a sweet spot in my heart.

Banshee Beat is one of the greatest songs ever imo, and what they do with Fireworks live is magical.

Derek is a great song, although I may like it more than most because it’s my name, but I love the outro to it. Fitting end to the Strawberry Jam album.

That being said, I’d probably swap it for “Cuckoo Cuckoo” or “For Reverend Green.”
