I haven't updated my shuffle's workout playlist since about 2006, but all the songs still work for running on the treadmill, so I'm good. This one popped up today. Still love this track.

Although arguably inferior, this is the original. You like?

Wow, I never knew this existed. Thanks for sharing it. Yeah, I still prefer the Iggy version, but it is certainly interesting hearing this version with different lyrics.

Well to be honest the original is made by Teddybears for their LP RocknRoll High School, but the collaboration cover version with Thomas Rusiak was "accidently" released as single before the Teddybears album came out, so there was some bad blood between them for years.

I had no idea there was so much backstory to that track. I like the Neneh Cherry track on that album too. It's really poppy. Sounds like Summer to me.

You are scrambling my brain with all these alternate versions. The video wouldn't play for some reason, but I searched for it on YouTube to listen. This is the one that sounds like Summer to me:

I've mentioned Josin elsewhere (pre-order thread I think) but her debut album is out and I find it sublime. Delicate, intricate, moody, building compositions with gorgeous, Thom Yorke-ish vocal. An early AOTY contender for me :)

I've been listening to the Aubrey-Maturin series (books on tape) for the last two weeks during my commute, and streaming the Philharmonica Viruosi Musical Evenings with the Captain, Volumes 1 and 2 during work. Can anybody recommend similar collections on vinyl? Probably not themed to Aubrey-Maturin, but classical pieces (preferably 18th century) for string duets and quartets?

New one from Dijon of R&B duo Abhi//Dijon from his debut EP, Sci Fi 1, due out March 1.

I might have shared this before but I LOVE this song, gives me Frank Ocean vibes and since Frank is MIA/hacked or whatever I'll just put these tracks on repeat (would also make a great VMP Rising artist @a-b )
