It could be cool to have the antithesis of the "Band/album Everyone Loves But You Don't" thread, kind of a guilty pleasure thread.

I was halfway through the Ken Burns: Jazz documentary on Netflix, and they removed it. I. Am. Not. Pleased.

I don't know if I would say people hate The Lemonheads, because there is a certain segment of people that recognize "It's A Shame About Ray" as a classic album from the 90's, but I think a lot more people dismiss them as "Alternative Light" or something. Back in the late 90's, you could always find some of their CDs in the used bin for next to nothing. Still can, I'm sure. I've always had a soft spot for them though. I think a lot of people just feel like Evan Dando got by on looks, and being a tabloid presence for his love life and drug addiction rather than anything to do with music. There is some truth there, but I think the band put out some pretty quality stuff along the way.

Not a band per se, but I could name some. I love good old fashioned DISCO music. Love it. Can not get enough! I don't care how dorky it makes me.

While he is certainly beloved by certain generations, my unabashed affection for Barry Manilow caused some distress among my peers in my rock n roll halcyon days.

    Kiss - The Elder

This album really sounds nothing like any other Kiss release (thankfully) and I'm yet to meet anyone who actually digs this album. It was produced by Bob Ezrin right after he finished his work with Roger Waters on 'The Wall' and is the least popular of all of Kiss' albums (which probably isn't saying much).

Anyways, I really like it. It's a great concept record that is produced really well and the songs are well written and performed. What more can I say?
