Nice, really diggin’ Knock On Wood.
It's an excellent pick. Classics is on a tear. Only blip in the past year for me, and it's a minor one, is the Lightmen Plus One. I thought I'd like that more but I don't connect when I put it on. Classics have been getting steady rotation over here.
Give it another go at some point in the future.
Sometimes an album isn’t meant for you at that particular time,
but rather a later time when it better lines up with your life and experiences.
(But I just really love the album, so I am biased.)
I agree - that happens to me all the time, especially with an album like this that's in a genre and style I normally like.
I’ve actually played it a few times and am struggling with it too. Apart from the random side 4 which feels like a folk album has been tacked on the end, I’m down with that!
So Knock on Wood is pretty much confirmed at this point.
Excellent, loving this album
Super cool video of Steve Cropper explaining to Ronnie Wood how he came up with the intro to Knock on Wood
wow, this is amazing. I didn't need to know this was a thing! Sounds lovely.
I know Knock on Wood has already been established but this was storf’s bio on Byrd announcement:
Well, monkey’s out of the bottle for sure now.
I was reading this message a bit too fast and thought to myself "who the hell are Madison and Wisconsin?".
I did that too!
Raise Your Hand slaps!
An album I've been wanting on vinyl for a long time, cant wait to spin this
I enjoyed running the guess thread this month, and wouldn't mind doing it again in the future, but do we really need 3 separate guess threads? I know in the forum poll a while back I voted in favour of separate guess threads, but now that we're a few months in I'm a little skeptical if that's really the best way to go. Particularly if @Storf continues to serve up hints as all three combined, it would makes sense to combine the guess threads. Thoughts?
Motion proposed. I’m in favor.
One guess thread to rule them all
