This was the VMP store. $35 which is around £27. Pretty reasonable when amazon UK had it for £37.

I ordered sam rivers from the amazon france link you put up the other day (thanks for that!!) and bit the bullet and went through amazon uk at £37 for the Wayne Shorter. Pricey but I managed to sell a few records over the weekend to help pay for them.

Bugger, I cancelled mine from VMP due to all the customs woes. Oh well, I’ll grab it somewhere, happy yours made it through though.

Ah damn, are they sold out now?

I really don’t want to jinx it, but I haven’t had any issues with VMP packages getting through. Although admittedly I have drastically cut down on store buys since the issues started.

I haven't checked if they're sold out. I suffer from an age-old case of 'the luck of The Moores' so, if there's the remotest chance I'll be stunned by additional payments, you bet your arse I will be.

Hell yeah! Saw Quintron open for Sleep back in December, but didn't know this recording existed!

I was bad while I was out of town...

One step closer to finishing my Baroness collection; just need Purple and the early EP's now.

I admittedly wasn't thinking about the MoFis when I made the statement and to answer that question you'll have to defer to the expertise of The Beatles Thread. But I can't imagine that they are better than the Monos.

Them being mofis I’m sure they are mastered and pressed magnificently. They are, however, the stereo mixes so no amount of mastering and pressing can change that...

I imagine they’d be the best option for the last 3 albums though.

Went a little wild at Amoeba over the weekend. I have not heard this new Ash album but I hear it’s a return to form and for 4.99 why not?

Is that Ash... like Free All Angels, 1977 Ash?

Yes! and those are my two favorite albums of theirs. They went back to infectious for this album, which I'm actually listening to now and its very Ash in a good way. I've always rooted for this band.

A while back they swore off albums and released a single every 2 weeks for a year in alphabetical order for a year, it's called The A-Z series. It's pretty cool, they were branching off in a lot of directions but there were a lot of good songs. Now they've kinda gone back to being the Irish Weezer except, you know, still good.

Man I’ve been going back and forth probably a year now on picking up Das Efx on vinyl. I know there’s tons of reissues but I wanted an og press and while they’re not too expensive, every month I end up finding other stuff to buy. Maybe February will be the month I finally just hunker down and get it! :)

Elvis Costello & The Roots - Wise Up Ghost and Other Songs 2013

Been honing in on the few albums missing from my The Roots discography and picked this up for £10 on eBay. Shocked to see its a gatefold double LP on Blue Note!! Its been a long time since I listened to this so excited to dig in.

Originally bought the cheaper 2016 release version. Not a good pressing at all.

Decided to pluck a little more down to get the Mofi version, and the difference was almost like light and day.
