Yeah I think the customs thing is from next boxes, these ones were still under the old system.

How does Durrand sound? I’m very impatiently awaiting it’s arrival!

    Durand is good, very good.
It has mellowed out a bit and it's more gentle and subdued that the previous record (S/T).
    but the soul is there...

Mine only shipped today for some reason, never seen it so late in three years. I was completely out of the loop for a few weeks, what was this month's shipping disaster? Or was it just me?

Mine shipped about 2 days later than usual on the 7th and I haven't received it yet. Seen some other people in the forum saying their shipping dates were unusual this month too

I'm pretty relaxed about shipping in general, a few days here and there is fine, so wouldn't really make a deal of it. Curious though and communications are non-existent so you never get a heads up

Today is extremely late though that's very strange. Unless there was an exclusive in it they hadn't got in stock yet or something?

There are a couple of exclusives in there alright, so that could be it.

I've been pretty lucky and avoided major problems over the couple of years, save one shipment that never arrived that they replaced without question. So can't complain really

Same here, and it's "SCANNED INTO SACK/CONTAINER" since the 11th. Last time it was so long was in December w/ the Christmas break, and I eventually got the records in early January. Looks like it's gonna happen again...

It's really annoying. It has me thinking sticky pudding April too and with customs seeing how it goes for others

I’m subbed up to May and I couldn’t miss the April classics, it is so exciting! And there’s the problem, the curation side are just so bloody good at their jobs, I don’t want to miss out...

I think the key is to avoid more than 2 in a month from now on. If the member intel gathering is correct that should keep it below the customs threshold so no levies. Is going to be a wrench and I can’t promise that I won’t occasionally fail and have to pay customs fees but it should cut down my VMP vinyl spend!

2 a month isn't the worst scenario in the world hopefully it works going forward. Fingers crossed. As you said cuts vmp spending too

Yeah and it doesn’t necessarily stop you getting the music. I got the Nilüfer Yanya one off her web store instead and will likely get more from similar or local store and shopping locally is defo no bad thing, we are lucky with the quality of record store we have in Dublin so I do like to support them!

Very true. Being HipHop is my main purchase when it comes to vinyl I usually use HHV.De and artists stores. Hiphop is limited in most of the local stores. Tower have got a bit better but their prices do be outrageous sometimes

To be honest Tower is more a place I buy new releases in or some older stuff the other stores don’t have the physical capacity to store. Freebird and The Record Spot in RAGE get more of my custom. As a hip hop fan have you also tried All City Records & Graffiti on Crow Street in Temple Bar? It should be right up your street!

Yeah I frequent all of those from time to time. I use spindizzy too. I like the online click and collect service they do it's quite handy. Nice to see freebird online store finally up & running also. The record spot I use alot. I traded in a bunch of my old NES stuff for vinyl not so long ago
