This thread is so bad for my bank account
I don't have that, but I've read some bad reports on pressing (united), I guess if you buy from Amazon and if it's not a noisy/ off center pressing, just return it .
Look for the old Speakers Corner reissue, or if you can wait, Analogue Productions will repress their 45rpm pressing.
11 pounds extra for shipping worldwide. $46.20 total currently for us in the states.
I’ll wait. Was checking out the prices on the AP press today. $200+, But I’ve read its phenomenal. Thank you
Playing through tracks a few days ago and Spotify auto suggested and played this for me
I've played it so many times since and the album is a really good listen.
This book has just been republished for anyone who might be interested. I've only jus received it, so haven't read but it gets some great raps if you want some more info about free jazz movement from Coltrane/Coleman/Sun Ra up till the mid 70's .
So I posted a couple of days ago that I picked these up
$3 each but so far only listened to 1 side of the Max Roach +4. I’m about to listen to the whole thing but so far side 1 was awesome.
Can anyone recommend a good pressing for A Love Supreme? I sorely need this in my collection and the one I really want (AP 45 RPM) is a cool $200+. Thought someone here could maybe help me out. Thanks!
https://www.discogs.com/John-Coltrane-A-Love-Supreme/release/594243 if you can get a" Wally" of this one it's pretty good for the price, but I think if they are sealed it's a bit hard to tell .
Someone posted that AP will be repressing in the future. I sure hope it’s true. I was surfing through different pressings on discogs during the middle of the week and picking the right one is a seemingly daunting task.
Steve Hoffman says the MCA pressings up to 1985 use the same tape as the originals.
I wonder what the Japanese ones used.
I got a Love supreme From Sound Of Vinyl but I haven’t listened to it yet, so I’m not sure how it would compare to AP’s 45rpm mix. I’ll let you know however if it’s worth it at all though.
Nice. Hopefully they less than $200 CAD.
I wish I could remember who on this forum said this. I’ve been searching this forum and going through my notifications for answers to no avail.
I'm streaming the Spiritual Jazz Vol. 7: Islam comp. right now, and it's incredible. Anybody have it on vinyl? Know how it sounds or where I can get it?
Only streamed and I agree, it is fantastic. Seems to have sold out here in UK unfortunately too.
Internet is weird when you're spinning Ezra Collective, think of recommending it in french to your followers in french and Joe Armon-Jones favs it.
I know it's probably a search on Ezra Collective, but still, weird.
