‘400 Degreez’ went over 5x Platinum. Cash Money was an Army (and Navy) and Juvenile became the first breakout star, finally separating the imprint from a longstanding debt owed to the successes of Master P and No Limit Records, and finally giving the South another voice against hip-hop’s dominant bicoastal narrative. They stood not in opposition to the East or the West; it was time for the South to speak yet again. Though Juvenile was in his 20s, he walked in the weathered swagger of an old soul, long-aged by survival on his block. ‘400 Degreez’ invites us to walk down Magnolia, and Juvie’s mind is preoccupied by everything the hood can do to one’s mind. He’s mastered his domain, even as it threatens to master him in the process.

    What’s in the Box:
    • First official vinyl reissue
    • Exclusive heavyweight foil jacket
    • Limited 180g 2LP colored vinyl

    HINTS

Cash Money Records taking over for the '18 & '19! (shoutout @KenKaniff)
@Storf bought this album secretly from Wal-Mart when he was 13 (so before April 2000)
    First time ever on vinyl
VMP mostly kept their considerations to Cash Money albums released from '98 onwards (dunno whether or not if it's a definitive hint, but worth considering when guessing)
    Young Flowers
Two Dudes and a Lady (assuming ours is a dude)
    • The chances that all 3 tracks are solo artists this month are "very good"
    3, 3, 4

    I'm going with 400 Degreez.

Storf said in a post, forget in which thread, that basically Cash Money gave them the keys to the building. Kind of let them pick whatever they wanted to press. If this month is another Cash Money, it has to be 400 Degrees. There's no way they did 2 Wayne's, A Hot Boys album and a Mannie Fresh album and Jan will do ___ but will skip over a Juvenile release, considering his importance to the Cash Money label.

Does this mean that if come February they pull you in AGAIN that you should've done the 3 month sub to save 6 bucks? Can't remember the last time they legitimately got me for 3 months straight based on the main subs alone, but this is looking promising.

If that does manage to happen (which i doubt mainly for monetary reasons. It'd have to be really good) they deserve the extra 6 bucks.

I’m going to go with Inner Circle - Bad Boys.

A little more reggae than rap, but never on vinyl, and I think it would be awesome. I bought this CD sometime in the 90’s and still listen to it all the way through quite often.

I am sure it would sell quite well too.

Yes. Call me dumb, but what is a Cash Money album? Is that the band/group? Why would they give away that hint so soon?

Which is ironic bc the label head stole from all the artists. They weren’t getting their money!

I know we have before April 2000, in the AMA stort said he was "responsible for 80s and 90s picks" and mentioned this one so I guess that can shave a few months off
