I didn't know you were so dirty minded and cheeky turbo
No its not. Hence why i said "i like it so what"
So there is now a group against the group that's against the group that's....uggghhh.
That's fair. I see your point.
To All the above
I'm gonna just delete it. I personally don't need to have an opinion on everything & it seems it's causing even more offense. Doing more harm than good
I like the obi write up. I read it in Juveniles voice. I thought it was fun and a nice change from the previous obi write ups. I didn’t take offense to it at all and I don’t feel like I was being stereotyped.
I read it in his voice too with a Manny Fresh beat behind it lol it was fun
LOUISIANA ME, PLEASE
Pretty sure you just stereotyped the stereotyper.
Just been listening to the complete Juvenile VMP album, great pressing and great sound, I strongly recommend this if you're unsure whether to pick it up (in case it's not sold out already).
Got my package of 400 Degreez and Carter 2 and both packages are bent and smashed in the corners
Loving this album. This was one of those "get for the missus" records as I was only familiar with a few Juvenile songs, but the entire album is hot fire. Fantastic stuff.
You’re the only person I’ve considered blocking on here, simply out of pure jealousy. Us normal married men are secretly spinning 400 Degreez the moment the missus runs an errand. Meanwhile you’re out here flashing your six-pack, Lamborghini, and trophy wife. Just stop it already!
I didn't pick up this album, but after seeing all the commotion, I feel like I should add my two piece. I don't have the album because I'm not the biggest fan of Juve. But, I am a black male and a fan of rap music. I know the Ha flow is Juve's thing. For what it's worth, I love the obi. I think anyone that knows the song will understand the obi. Even if they don't previously know the song, I'm sure they'll get it after their first listen. It doesn't read as stereotypical at all to me. The only "stereotype" I could see would be writing use Juve's "stereotypical" flow. And the obi does actually contain some description about the album. It's just written in a fun way. I think it's fun and way more colorful than the typical obi's. Count me in the "yay" column, VMP.
I appreciate that you think my 10-year-old Prius is a Lamborghini but don't worry there's plenty of music I spin that she can't stand and I have to wait for her to go out of town before I put it on the turntable. It just happens to be 1970s art rock instead of thug rap.
I feel you there. I can throw on something like Carter III all day long around my SO, and she even once asked me if I could get another copy of the Doggystyle ROTM for her. But the moment I pull out a Yes or a Rush album, I get evil eye-d
trying to enjoy this album..but all I can think about is that 400 degrees is way too hot
In Celsius, it's only 204.
Does that help at all?
So quick take from someone that only dabbles in rap & hip hop: I'm enjoying this a lot. Funky the way I like it.
Really nice pressing too.
I saw people previously asking about the edit in Gone Ride With Me and I definitely notice it and it's a little distracting, but there are some other edits throughout the album as well. Wonder why that is. I've only heard this album for the first time in November so I'm not sure if this is how the album always was. Edits always bug me a little bit
The original release of this album did not have the edits. Good job by VMP for getting this. Maybe this is the only mix Cash Money offered up? The edits are very lame though.
oh oh..and I noticed some noise at the very very end of Back That Azz Up. anybody else or just me?
On a good note. This album sounds incredible. As does the Carter II release. Two of the better sounding hip-hop releases in my collection. Great job with this one.
