This is the guy who I saw open up for Colter just last week, they both are from the same part of Canada. He knocked my girlfriend and Is socks off with his live performance and while he didn’t perform this cover of Motorcycle, that third verse Colter did play and shared a little story as well. Apparently Colter went and saw Blake live and heard him covering the song and heard that verse, when he asked Blake when he wrote it Blake said he wrote that verse after talking with Colter in Nashville about what he’s done since Colter got a check for getting a song in a movie. Pretty cool little backstory, apparently it’s colters new favorite verse in the song and the whole show was riddled with them. I posted a status right after the show but I’ll say it again, get out and see these guys.
@mcherry hopefully this will make up for my transgression of equipment over vinyl:
I've watched this boygenius performance from last night's Seth Meyers a ton today. The shot of Phoebe Bridgers as she destroys the end of this tune is what it's all about. Eyes closed, and just unleashing that voice.
Sharing this one again because it's so good
Milk Carton Kids played Jimmy Kimmel Live. I absolutely love these guys and their live show was amazing. See them if you can.
I can't turn off what turns me on....and this sticky pudding well turns me on!
I've always loved Alejandro Escovedo's cover version of Mott The Hoople's 'I Wish I Was Your Mother'. The first time I saw him perform it live, it sounded pretty much exactly like this, and the girl I was with at the show actually shed some tears during the performance. Pretty emotional stuff.
Van the Man.
Ian McLagan doing his thing. Miss that dude.
