    Hey folks,
Let's do this again. Of course, there are no rules--try to spin every day if you can, without repeating any of your records for the month or anyone else's record for that day. Some of the categories are vague and all can be interpreted however you want. Have fun!

    1. It's Women's History Month in the US, the UK, and Australia. Play an album by a woman or a woman-led group.

    2. Play an album related to, that makes you think of, or that makes a nice soundtrack to your favourite book.

    3. Brunch.

    4. Something from your home city or country.

    5. Something from a place you've visited or would like to visit.

    6. Ash Wednesday.

    7. Dinner party.

    8. If you skate, you would be great, if you could make a figure 8.

    9. It's my father's birthday. Play something your father introduced you to or might like. (Or just some dad rock celebrating Summerteeth's 20th anniversary.)

    10. Outer space.

    11. Play something for your brother, sister, mother, grandparent, niece, or nephew.

    12. In twenty years we could all be underwater or living in a Mad Max world. Play the last album you want to hear before there's no more electricity and we all have to start fighting each other for resources, or something to soundtrack the start of the apocalypse.

    13. Groovy.

    14. Guitar tone.

    15. Beware the Ides of March.

    16. A debut album.

    17. St. Patrick's Day. Play something for our friend @JoeMac7, or for Ireland in general.

    18. A sophomore album you think is better than that artist's debut. (Bonus make-believe points if it's the same artist as day 16.)

    19. Déjà vu.

    20. First day of spring (and Nowruz).

    21. A cover.

    22. New music Friday. Play something that was released or that you discovered or picked up recently.

    23. National Puppy Day. Play something for an animal in your life, or for our friends over in the Cute Animal thread.

    24. Jazz Sunday.

    25. Play an album you enjoy best on headphones.

    26. My favourite night of the week...Taco Tuesday!

    27. Coffee and cigarettes.

    28. Movie night.

    29. It's Friday and I need a beer, how about you?

    30. It's Earth Hour today. Play something with no (or as few as possible) electric instruments.

    31. Do not sell at any price.

    I'll kick things off.

This was a pretty ridiculous accideal on Amazon a year or two ago - 5 LPs, a 10" and booklet housed in a nice box for $19.00.

Deal or not, Ella should be on everyone's shelf.

    Day 1

Well I had ideas about what to play for WHM and then @Yer Ol' Uncle D and @Eriatarka upped the ante a bit... so here I am playing a historical record by a woman this morning.

(As I pulled it out of the sleeve and noticed the weird label, there is a part of me that laments already having this and not getting the 75th anniversary repress - oh yeah this is available again as of today!)

Went with one of my recent favorites that I fall in love with slightly more with each listen with a trio of others I could post behind it for good measure.

Maggie Rogers – Heard It in a Past Life

Tough decision on this one, it ended up sorting out my plays for the night anyway. So my pick is:

Little Simz - Stillness in Wonderland. Im a big fan of Little Simz, seen her live twice and own all her music on vinyl (with her latest album, Grey Area, on its way). She really is at the forefront of the London hip hop/grime scene and shes a great ambassador for the genre.

As a bonus, here is my female-led plays for the night. Noname, Joni Mitchell, Julien Baker, and Wolf Alice (Ellie Rowsell. Album was signed at their London Alexandra Palace gig a couple years ago).

Thanks to @Bad Andy for the Feb thread, it was fantastic. And thanks to @BjorgenFjorgen for setting this one up, fantastic list!

    Day 1 - Women’s History

History was once the “current,” and few women performers are more of the moment than Julia Jacklin. Waiting for my VMP of Crushing by enjoying this fresh grab that arrived today.

    Feist - Let It Die

I've been a Feist fan for a long time but this album had never clicked for me until I heard the VMP version. Definitely my favourite modern female artist.
