I wonder how much of this has to do with the snafu that was the album I won't name but was by a dog named Snoop? A fair amount of posters said they were not buying anything else after that, so the fact that nothing is selling out could be a possible trickle-down effect.

    Just spitballin'.

I would have purchased too but already pre-ordered from Bandcamp. Great pick, first record is very good too but I don't know how easy (and pricey) it is to buy it in the US. Maybe @craigdino or @lee newman may help ? Wait! Why do I do this to you :p

This happened to me when it was announced. Then someone had to mention the whole Brit Jazz scene....

Not gonna lie, I'm starting to get a *little* annoyed by the pricing in the store. I know vinyl prices have gone up everywhere, but the fact many of the non-exclusive releases can be found cheaper (sometimes much cheaper) from other places even with shipping (at least for us in the states) is a bit disappointing. It would be nice if there was even a tiny discount in the store for active members vs. 'the public'. I love VMP customer service, but I'm not sure it's worth an extra $2-10 per record and I've started shopping around other places MUCH more than I used to. My box could easily have been twice as big this month if pricing had been more competitive.

That and previous ROTMs or side sub selections being more than the original monthly has been a bit frustrating.

Vote with your wallet. I used to buy lots of nonexclusives when they were cheap. Heck even the sales have been easily beaten of late.

That’s why you should subscribe. I would be very annoyed if you could buy the ROTM or side sub selections for the 25/23 I spend on them. They want you to subscribe to these items to lower risk.

For anyone interested, looks like My Morning Jacket's AotM is back in the store too.

The most recent "sale" was a joke. The only reason I got "Firstborn is Dead" from this store is because I need it and the price ($25) is pretty average for Nick Cave vinyl.

Oh, yeah. For sure. I love that Divine Fits as much, if not more than any of the Spoon albums. I saw them at Coachella too. Last I heard they were going to make another one as soon as Spoon wrapped up their touring for Hot Thoughts.

Yeah I don't buy nonexclusives from VMP anymore, with the rare exception when they have a limited pressing that I can't get elsewhere. This month I'm only at 1 add-on, so I think I'm set to have my smallest shipment yet.

No rising, so right now I’m at 3 essentials, classics and RHh. I’m debating RHH. I would’ve bought Prine, but I’m voting with my wallet there as well. I need VMP to get their act together. I could honestly give two craps about non-exclusives at this point. Be clear and forth coming in your product and take appropriate action when you screw up. Sure my $25 isn’t gonna make or break them../

Another thing I like about the album is that they trade off on lead singers. You don't see that much. Keeps me interested more.

I'm willingly paying for Classics @ $29 + Crate in case I ever want to drop Classics (not likely but still possible). Until Classics became available solo, though, I spent months tracking down & paying a lot more for each release (still looking for Miles & Coltrane). It thought it was ridiculous to see VMP post overstock for more than any subscriber has to pay, and I think it's still an inexcusable cash grab even if it's less than what someone might have to pay on Discogs/eBay.
