I thought it might be nice to have a central thread to discuss the new weekly releases on Fridays (I still don't remember when it shifted from Tuesdays back in the day). I know for me it's hard to stay on top of all the new releases every week that are worth checking out. I think a lot of people were looking forward to the new Justin Timberlake this week, but it looks like there's a couple other great releases in Anna Burch (Quit the Curse), Hookworms (Microshift) and the Wood Brothers (One Drop of Truth). Any other good new releases today that people are getting into?

Yeah the new album was apparently inspired by the 2016 Presidential election, pretty sarcastic and angry and good

II by Sunwatchers. Came out a couple weeks ago & can be had cheap on their Bandcamp. I mentioned in another thread that this and the Khrunagbin are excellent counterpoints to one another.

Stuff released this year that I've been digging?

This is some just fantastic 70's flavored rock with fantastic vocals and great musicianship. Possibly one of my favorite opening drum solos since Sabbath's "Rat Salad" on a track in the back half of this one. Sorry if you've seen me throw these guys up in other threads, they just deserve the exposure!

This is off of JPEGMAFIAS new Veteran album. Some very interesting hip-hop. Enter if you dare.

And this new Ty Segall has just been burrowing it's way into my earholes. So many good jams on that one.

For any of my metal stuff if you're interested check that thread and when new stuff drops on a Friday and I remember I'll post it up here!

New Earthgang E.P. dropped today. Really dig this new series they've been doing with Dreamville.

It looks like Charlotte Day Wilson released her "Stone Woman" E.P. today, I remember a few people talking about her in a thread a while back

The Fratellis new one is pretty fun.

I was a little let down by Apollonia after really liking the first group of singles.
