Don’t fret, though! I can tell you what’s better than that...
A drink with me! Ha
I'm down! How far are you from there?
I won't have a vehicle, but could possibly borrow one for a short drive!
I’m about 45 minutes away. A very nice and relaxing drive. I’ll see when the time comes. Work keeps me busy 6 days a week. I wish I had more free time because I would have taken @The_Stoned_Ape out at least 20 times.
Sweet! It's a vacay for me, so DM me if you feel like meeting up!
I hope everyone who reads this is staying safe tonight. Protect your collections.
And yourselves, of course.
I think they just needed more words for the headline...
@chris_d_cole don't you mean LuBling
look at storf bebe trying to flex like there haven't been loads of VMP exclusives of LMP pressings.
@EmeryRK @Enaz Fox in order of excitement; what a lineup. Dope underground hip-hop, house, hardcore, EDM...And a dash of OG-emo with the Dashboard Confessional headline? Why the hell not.
Great line up. I was looking through, saw Dashboard on there and gave a kind of a look but, they’re still good.
Wish I could go.
Northshore here. Anyone local trading or selling any if the rap/hip hop or can't send me a message telling me how this site works.
Yo man, serious local NOLA hip hop collector here. don’t have much for trade personally, but I know some people who do and I’d be interested in knowing what stuff you’ve got over there in the Northshore. Check out my Instagram @stonedape504 it’s all my NOLA collection.
Also, check on the buy/sell on this forum. It's not local, but the only stores I know that are on the northshore are 2nd and Charles and Retro Music. 2nd and Charles will make any collector squirm because of how badly it's organized and how scratched the records are. I've never been to Retro Music because Covington. I keep saying I'm going to go and I keep putting it off.
You’re right about 2nd and Charles. I’ve scored some pretty good records from there but it’s still, as you said, very unorganized and most are scratched. I have made friends with some of the staff that will give me discounts on stuff that’s been there for years. That’s where I got my Beatles Mono Boxset for $187.
Someday you should go to Retro’s new place. Very nice and very clean. I don’t go there often because it’s very rare they have new records(that interests me) but, selection is good at times.
I went to 2nd and Charles years back. My buddy brought me and I got the Superfly soundtrack new for $10 and picked up a used copy of Ohio Players - Gold for $2. After that I left them at my friends house until he moved. I actually didn't get a turntable until last year this time because the 2 I had I couldn't get to work correctly. (1 Needs a needle, 1 possibly user error.) I haven't been collecting very long, in my opinion, lol.
@The_Stoned_Ape I followed you on ig. I know I got "I got the hook up" Soundtrack, Magic - Thuggin, and Ricky B. - B is for Bounce. I also got a No Limit lot off of eBay. I don't have a lot of rap/hip hop, will have to get a list together and post again.
Discogs is your friend. Go there to catalog your collection.
Do you have the og Ricky B tape? Or the recent vinyl reissue that my buddy Brice did?
2012 Reissue. My cousin had the moboclick CD back in the day with a couple of the same tracks.
