So to mess with everyone's OCD...... the lettering on the spine is upside down opposed to all other albums I own

So I really really like this album! I know I’m pretty late on that revelation. But as others were saying when this was announced, during this time period I kinda dropped out of rap music. I heard of Lil Wayne and sorta knew of him from the Hot Boyz but I never listened to him when he was really popular.

Damn i dig pretty much every song! One of the best RHH releases for me.

So is this an error or intentional?

I personally really dig the eyes. It's odd, but I think it's a cool effect and certainly changes the vibe of the cover art, in what I feel is a very positive way. I think it does the opposite "highlighting his innocence as a baby" but that's what I like most about it.

    Pretty sure it’s intentional

I didn’t grab this record, but am curious—what’s up with the eyes that makes them so noteworthy?

@Storf You weren't kidding about the bass on this thing huh

    Incredible, thank you

They're glossy and the rest of the art of the cover is matte (don't think it's ever been like this before) so they stick out a lot

How they manage to dodge customs fees every time without fail I don't know but I love em for it

    Hey VMP,

Just wanted to give mad props on this release. Perfect packaging, cover, inners, and the record sounds stickying pudding GREAT. Just listened to it, and it's literally perfect. Kudos!

I haven’t gotten mine yet but I did revisit this for the first time in maybe 5 years when it was announced/rumored. It’s so much stronger than I even remember. Every track is excellent. Except Pussy Monster.

Yeah, I had the Play With Fire version, ie the original CD. I know why that couldn’t be included, but I can’t say that PM adds a whole lot and it’s fairly dated. I would have been fine if it had just been left off. The album is very strong and really hasn’t dated all that much otherwise.

    Agreed. Really great album.

Disagree w one thing about the packaging tho. I always like some lyrics esp with something like this with so many rhymes.

Edit: still great , thanks VMP

VMP hit it out the park with this release. The packaging is excellent, I love the color choice for the record, and ho-lee shit the sound. I have the fader cranked to the max on my mixer and am still not redlining (extremely rare) while my house is shaking from "A Milli". This might be one of the loudest records I own now, and I am loving every second of spinning it.

After listening today, I'd rank the tracks:

    1. Let The Beat Build
    2. Mr. Carter
    3. Dr. Carter
    4. A Milli
    5. Tie My Hands
    6. Comfortable
    7. Lollipop (still can't deny its catchiness after all these years)
    8. Dontgetit
    9. 3 Peat
    10. You Ain't Got Nuthin
    11. Mrs. Officer
    12. Got Money
    13. Shoot Me Down
    14. Phone Home (verses are solid, really dislike the repetitive chorus, though)
    15. La La
    16. Getting hit by a car
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    100000. Pussy Monster

Got mine last night. Got a misprinted jacket. Hoping VMP can replace once they catch up.
