If they ever come in and update and/or solicit suggestions and I'm not around, can someone suggest they declare the production cost? I'm sure this is still within legitimate practice, in fact I could have sworn that's what I read TMR do with their vault packages when I was considering the Beefheart package but I can't find it on their website at the moment. I'm sure production cost would come in under most countries' taxation quota. This wouldn't help if you wanted to buy multiple items but I guess at this stage there's only so much they can do to minimise this.

I doubt VMP would be willing to let us all know how much their profit margin is, especially since people already get up in arms regularly about how expensive the exclusives are getting.

I subscribe to the Vault, I have never checked what's on the invoice and, in 2, maybe 3 years, I've never had to pay any customs fees on them, so you may be right about the production cost thingy. I'll check when the next one arrives.

I’ve been a member for only a year and there is a pretty noticeable difference in exclusive prices in that time. Yes sometimes the packages warrant a higher price tag but. My first VMP purchase was Amen Dunes for $19. Last 3 exclusives I bought were $29+

Really? I'm still struggling to find it but TMR were really open about it, they even said on their website something like 'this will vary between $28 and $35". A shame if so though, I don't think anyone's under any illusion about the profit in this hobby for the manufacturers.

I mean you’re naming a specific exclusive and then not naming the higher priced ones.

I’m not saying the prices haven’t crept up, they have. But it would be nice to know if we are comparing apples or oranges.

Color, number of discs, vinyl weight, licensing, package details, quantity ordered all play in to the cost which is experienced by us in what we pay. Further more they still bring us the ROTM at a price lower than most of their sclusies.

I don’t think VMPs prices are any worse than anyone else’s right now.

I think if you think VMP isn’t making a profit then you probably don’t understand a lot of things.

Right? And as you said above, I don't think they're any more expensive than the rest of the market is dictating at the moment.

Is there one record that you all are tired of seeing in the store? For me it's the stupid looking album Milano. I just get irritated every time I see it...

It's a terrible album cover but the music is fire.

Yes, but for a different reason, it’s a really stickying pudding good album, people are missing out!

PS: Historically it will always be Tabakin’s creepy eyes, I still can’t believe that you lunatics bought all the copies of that one
