Did I miss Lee Fields or has it not gone up yet?
We’re still swamped with issues from the last sale.... what to do what to do....I know... it’s genius, let’s have a sale!
Have we heard if the curated titles ship on street date or just before? I would like to order both the new TVZ and Lucinda and it looks like they have a week between street dates. If they ship on street date then that should be ok, but if not then I might be stuck with duties and bloody exorbitant handling charges. Either way I grabbed the Buzzcocks "Another Music"
My understanding is they ship as available
hey, hey! we're in the process of updating/solidifying our policy on it and those changes will be announced soon. but for now, we have not changed our policy
I got the email I was expecting..."That box set is not currently being sold. How did you find the link to it?"
But Steve (I suppose it was Steve Kravac, the owner) told me they are getting in a couple boxes back from a retailer, so he's gonna send me one of those next week.
Thanks. Ordered Patti Smith and Buzzcocks on the back of this. Two separate (and under £18) orders
Wait, is the new shipper sending via FedEx? They are incredibly inconvenient for me. If I miss a delivery, I have to drive 45 minutes to the Ottawa airport to pick up the package. Plus, they invariably charge duty.
DHL/USPS/Purolator/Canada Post is the best of all evils over here.
I know there’s advantages to announcing exclusives in advance of the drop date. But it doesn’t make sense (for me). How am I supposed to know if I want the record if I can’t listen to it anywhere. It’s fine until a record sells out which will likely happen one day with a record i later realize is great.
It makes me def just focus on the tracks or on records I already know.
Most stores do work on preorders Mind you, still I know what you mean. I was more likely to give something a play and then buy it so I picked up some great albums like Aldous Harding
Just received my first order from the new shipment centre and I'm very happy with it. DHL express arrived in Adelaide, Australia, 4 days after shipping, which is as quick as it gets . A nice, solid, vinyl-specific mailer provided good protection and my Open Mike Eagle EP arrived safe and pristine.
I received my SVE today, first time ordering a non-exclusive under the new ship asap policy.
I was satisfied with the packing and checked all the boxes (no warp). However, I did notice a little bonus was left on the back of the external packaging. Wonder how this got included.
Same here now as with all pre-order limited runs everywhere, VMP was losing sells because people were pre-ordering elsewhere not knowing VMP was going to have one
What's this about a sale tomorrow? I didn't get an email.
To be fair, it sounds like just replenishing the sale section a bit, but yeah, that queue is not a good look.
Or selling off the remainder of the curated stock from Saddle Creek?
Remember when @a-b posted all the Garage Sale titles in advance and we could plan what we wanted to buy? Those were the days.
For the curated titles, it still goes via DHL. Instead of handing it over to CanadaPost at the border like with the ROTM and Exclusives, DHL delivers it all the way to you (and hopefully doesn't charge you for duties etc).
That's actually promising. My copy of Willie Nelson's Teatro should be shipping soon according to my order page.
My couple of curated orders (one with a customs bill) both shipped really fast. Think the both shipped on a Monday and I had them on a Wednesday or Thursday. Only problem is the tracking number won't update through VMP's website, you have to go to DHL's and enter it in.
