in b4 "but you only said indie"
Father John Misty is excellent. That is all.
Beach House, but besides that what makes his music "relevant" to you? I'm just curious.
It almost seems so self evident that if I have to point it out it just means he’s not for you
I just figure a statement like that kinda needs to be backed up with the reasoning. If you think this, I'm curious why exactly. Just assume I'm not aware that his lyrics generally follow current events.
Father John Misty discussion in the Clipse AOTM thread?
I would rather discuss hot dog water. Is it soup?
And how does it pair with chocolate starfish?
THEORETICAL "Clipse" AOTM thread
I'm Willin' to say yes. But not enjoyable soup.
Kill me now.
Ain't it a shame we can't say sticky pudding? sticky pudding's just a word and it's all sticky puddied up.
I hate the sandwich zealots.
But I do think like 90% of things are soup.
Relevance is a difficult concept to argue broadly (since what's relevant to one forum/demographic may not even register in a different one). He certainly seems relevant to VMP members or at least forum users... as @gouis pointed out, people love talking about him here, which makes him relevant by definition ("appropriate to the current time, period, or circumstances; of contemporary interest"). The quality of his music is immaterial to that point.
Full disclosure: FJM is definitely on my shortlist of favorite artists of the 2010s, along with Beach House and Grimes. And I have a hard time believing that people listen to Chance The Rapper.
Pretty much every indie artist? This forum does nothing but talk about indie acts.
I have never listened to Chance The Rapper, but is their style similar to this other famous Rapper from back in the day? PaRappa's flow was legendary!
He’s kind of a big deal.
He’s more soul and gospel influenced than PaRappa
