Never listened to Thrice b4 but upon hearing Atlantic I've decided to go thru their stuff so I can justify spending money on all these.

Oh hot damn, yeah beggars is one of my girlfriends favorite albums and I bought it for her a while back. Not sure if she was a fan of their other albums tho, if I remember correctly the vibe that beggars has was kind of a one off for them. I'll have to ask her if she's a fan of any of these. Yup, I thought that was pretty cool. I saw her at a festival a few years ago and it was a great show, I've been waiting for her album. Her voice is nuts.

Also FAO anyone else who likes Idlewild, their bass player Andrew has just released his third solo LP and it's wonderful. Mostly instrumental, strong 60's soundtrack vibes (so touches on Ghost Box and Broadcast).

 

Not familiar with Daddy Long Legs... but with Mandolin Orange, Chatham County Line and Felice Brothers already this year, kind of regretting not going completionist.

 

Me too. I'm going to do this next year when I get some of my debt paid off. 300 dollars is a tough pull usually at one time for a record subscription.

I did really debate copping this one though, super groovy disco funk. But ultimately decided to pass on it. Which I will probably regret some day.

The one I was upset about missing was the Pokus 7'' they did, which does feature Leon Brichard from Ill Considered.

EDIT - Nevermind, just copped the Pokus 7'' on discogs for $20 lol. Ill Considered collection remains complete. : prayer hands emoji : Still broke af though, thank God for PayPal credit.

 

Thanks for the correction..I just assumed since share same bandcamp...I thought long and hard on this one too...then I watched a clip on their Instagram of the 3 of them jamming and was sold immediately

 

Preorder for Wayne Shorter's "Etcetera" has gone up $3-4 from what I can tell.
