I do. I don't care how or when they signed it, I just think it is cool that artists have started to do this to sell more records and make it more personal(or impersonal if you see it that way.) I am the kind of person that would never ask an artist to sign my record unless they were actually do a signing at an in store anyway.

Wonder if it will be a ROTM or just in store...I assume just in store but that album is now getting like 20 different color pressings that were announced today.

Me too! Will definitely wait for the VMP exclusive! Although that green one does seems nice...

@Clay Conder will the VMP exclusive also have the liner notes and the DL card?

Bleep had an exclusive colorway and Rough Trade had a terra cotta /200 pressing as well. I think there were more too.

I like it, to me it's like getting a book that has already been signed by the author, or even buying a print with the artist's signature in the bottom corner. It's nice knowing that the album was in the artist's hands at some point, vs their label just popping out releases without the artist even knowing about it. I won't pay a premium for a signature, but I think it's a nice touch. Plus some records have included my name in the signature, which is even cooler!

If it's the same price as a normal copy it's fine. I wouldn't pay a ton more for a signed copy.

My only signed record is a copy of the Shame record that I got for $10. It felt like a steal for that price.

I do. I prefer getting the record signed in person though. I have over 100 lp''s signed in person, and can remember each interaction. Some if the nicest interactions...Joshua Ostrander from Mondo Como (he left a signing session just introduce himself and thank me for being a fan after I got to the signing too late and security wouldn't let me in), Brittany Howard from Alabama Shakes, JD Mcpherson, Josh Ritter, Tank and the Bangas, Daniel Norgren, Tim Showalter (Strand of Oaks), and MC Taylor (Hiss Golden Messenger)...great memories. Waiting to grab signatures is even fun. Collectors share stories and tips, and I've made some friends who I run into annually in the autograph line. I never see it as destroying a cover, and my wife always snaps some pictures. They are the most coveted part of my collection.

I haven't been to a lot of small shows lately, just bigger ones. But there aren't that many chances to interact with an artist. I haven't been to many shows where there is vinyl available and even if there is, it's tough to watch a show and baby a record. I would like to get records personally signed but lately, I haven't gotten a chance.

I totally agree with this. Never pay a premium for signed records. Most of my signed records came through Magnolia Record Club or instores, not Pledgemusic.

Absolutely one of my favorite albums of 2019. These guys are about to break up or go on hiatus but this album rules. First 100 orders are supposedly colored vinyl. Just ordered, have no clue if I am in the first 100. Think these guys were in the VMP Store at one point too.

    Pretty sure it looks like:
    • Black
    • Green (limited, but probably a large pressing)
    • Sacred Bones-exclusive tip-on jacket versions of both black and green
    • Sacred Bones Society exclusive green/white (limited, pressing determined by subscriber amt)
    • Rough Trade terra cotta (/300)
    • Bleep white/yellow (/200)
    • Vinyl Me Please (??)

I don't care about any signed copies. I won't ask for signatures or buy a signed version of a thing on purpose (though occasionally a thing is signed). I don't really understand the appeal.
