break it in, I hope you meant!
Yes ahha I edited my post
Dropping in to extend my congratulations and add that I’m really jealous!
I’ve been researching the Dialogue Premium HP that @HiFi Guy is getting for about 18months but it is out of my range for the time being lol! One day I’d love to have both it and a pair of the Q Concept 500s
New rack all set up. I liked the looks of the old one better, but now I don’t have to worry about everything crashing to the floor. Good trade off.
Will be listening for next 3 days!!
Today’s the big day @HiFi Guy !!!
Good luck! Look forward to hearing what you think!
And my VMP shipment arrives today too!
A day of riches!
@HiFi Guy today
Peanuts are the best
Is that the Monoprice rack btw ?
If it was me I would put the amp on a single shelf amp stand in front of your rack to allow for better heat dissipation.
Let us know how you like the Prima with your Heresy's. Do you generally find you get enough satisfying bass from the Heresy's ?
Who is going to be the first to start tube rolling there Prima Luna ?
you have given me a idea for the whats spinning thread tonight!
Or run it without the tube cage. Probably what I'll do.
I'll listen to mine for a bit, but will most likely upgrade the 2 input tubes for starters.
Putting it out front on its own might have a WAF problem. I do have a fan blowing on it, that help?
As for the sound to this point, I’m very happy.
The 35wpc that the PrimaLuna throws out is way more dynamic with the Heresy’s than was my 100wpc Yamaha.
In my room, there is no way I’ll need a sub with the Heresy’s for 95% of my music. The bass that this combination is putting out is cleaner, more punchy, more dynamic than I was previously getting with my SVS Ultras and SB2000 sub. Might not go as deep, but it sounds a lot better.
I’ll move it up front when I’m listening. Cooled everything right down.
@Slimwhit Check out some AC Infinity fans. They have a bunch of models, some with temperature probes and controllers so the fan only comes on when it gets hot.
I use them in my media room enclosed rack and they are solid and silent.
Thanks for the tip! I’ll check them out!
I’m confused ..... Klipsch are very, very efficient speakers and you have more then ample power to drive them. The PL has lots of space in your rack to breathe and I would be downright gobsmacked if the PL ever overheated/shutdown due to powering a pair of Klipsch speakers . For the setup you have i can’t see why you need the fan .
Tanq speaks truth. It's unlikely you're pushing more than like 3W.
edit: Those Heresies will push 100db at 2.5 meters with 4 watts of power.
