ohh , ok... my bad
This is my replacement copy of Queen. I present to you, a second video. (Apologies for the vertical phone video - Video wasn't the focus, obviously) I'd like to call this one: "Is this [the] real life?"
I'm not crazy, right? This shouldn't sound like this?
@Mather @kvetcha @Rian @Storf
I received mine but haven't washed/listened yet. I'll try to give it a spin tonight.
No, no it should not. That's the track that most people are having problems with. It's a bad press. Hit up info and get another, mine definitely does not sound like that.
Can someone tell me what I'm supposed to be hearing? Is it the tail end of Good Company or the beginning of Bohemian Rhapsody? Or something else all together? OR am I missing something completely because it sounds fine from this end.
Um, if it sounds fine, don't worry about it?
I would assume yours is fine, mine sounds great and has no issues (other than one seem split on the bottom, I need to get around to repairing). I'm meticulous about a lot of things, but I wouldn't go looking for problems if it sounds good to you.
At first it sounded distorted, as if in a carnival house of a bad dream, but now on further listens and after having just spun mine I don’t really hear it as much anymore...
Apologies, I got that it was from the video. I don't hear it either.
You guys are telling me you DON'T hear the crackle all over Bohemian Rhapsody on that video?? It sounds awful. Listen during the quiet parts, it's crackly as shit man!
It's all of it.
Honestly @Mather, I listened to it again and not a bit. Not saying it's not there, but I'm not hearing anything.
Updated comment: Broke out the headset, cranked it and yes, that's crackle-isious. My apologies
I definitely hear the crackle, but on my first listen I thought I heard some distortion too.
I thought I was going crazy DON'T DO THAT TO ME
My brain is pretty much taking corners on two wheels as it is... I don't need the extra push...
In related news, all of @Mather 's records are actually perfectly flat.
That means there are more warped ones out there! Be on the lookout guys!
That's exactly what I'm telling you.
In all fairness, I'm listening on my computer speakers.
Yeah, slap some headphones on - I have a feeling you'll have a different outlook.
My replacement copy is still distractingly noisy during quiet passages.
edit: Blossom Dearie sounds amazing, though.
