That would be african then, on account of them being non migratory...
Fwiw, I emailed VMP asking if they had any more info re: the USPS morass. The reply, which is fine by me, this shit will happen
Sorry to hear about your Queen record. The logistical problem is mostly stemming from USPS being overwhelmed this time of year, and us further exacerbating those problems by shipping 20k records out of one post office in New York. We've been told that most media mail packages should hit doors by mid next week at the latest, so hopefully you get yours soon. It's less than ideal, and we hope to never have this happen again. Thanks for your patience.
I so wish I could have seen the look on the faces of those postal workers at that one post office in New York.
Thanks for posting this - not ideal, but at least they are aware of it.
Up to 12 days or more, apparently
Got mail on december 7th that Queen was shipped, it said:
"All non-U.S. orders have been shipped as well, although those tracking numbers will take a few more days to process. We will follow up with one final email once international shipments are trackable."
Never heard from VMP again. Today, miraculously, the record arrived out of nowhere. So.... yay!
Spun it some times now, it's absolutely georgous
Someone in Dallas plz go and find the shipping crate that's got everyone's Queen records in it. It'll be in a corner or back hallway somewhere, probably.

Just wanted to drop this in here in case some folks aren’t checking the Dec store thread
If I checked the tracking # every day and it showed the package slowly moving toward me state by state, it wouldn’t bother me as much (“oh good! It cleared the Appalachians!”). But the fact that’s is sitting probably 18 min away from my apt is maddening.
Dallas USPS has gotten really bad. I have filed several complaints with them this year. Mine also sat miles away from my house for days on end. It arrived safely, but this isn't that uncommon here, and is much worse in December.
Oh more, for sure. Since Nov 29 for me
yea, up here in DC it's much the same. Mine got to a regional facility on Dec 2, last update on Dec 6 it's still making its way from there. Finally got a photo of the carrier responsible, he's trying his best
This place cracks me up. As a new member I've been trying to be patient and wait my turn Especially when I see people commenting that packages are magically showing up. I've had a tracking number on the shipping page for the better part of a week, but put that in USPS and nothing, just said they hadn't received it yet. Get an email today from VMP with the shipping number, and it's oddly in a city 2 hours away and supposed to take another week to get to me.
Crazy! But looking forward to Queen and Mavis, a couple bonus records, the Kevin Morby, and Sleater-Kinney. And made another order for a few more. Could have a problem.
First time I looked at this, I failed to appreciate how fully over it that tortoise is. That's a Jim Halpert direct-look-into-camera if I've ever seen one.
Right there with you, tortoise.
I read this comment BEFORE I saw the reference picture, so I was thinking “shoot, what curse word are they replacing with ‘tortoise’ now?”
Ah, the famous Tortuga!
That scene scared the crap out of me when I first watched it.
Is ANATO now sold out?
Finally, some movement from Hyattsville Hell. Hopefully my fellow DC Metro residents will see their albums moving from purgatory soon, too!
That’s what the ROTM page says...
