Hi everyone! I'm looking for a vinyl buddy! Anyone here from the SLC area?
Well, several months late seeing this, but I am! I'm in Saratoga.
Hello! I'm in South Salt Lake. Where do you shop?
I go to Randy's on 9th or Sound and Vision Vinyl in South salt lake. I try to go to sound and vision first because it's smaller. The dude that owns it is from New York and has amazing stories. If he doesn't have something, he'll get it for you. Where do you go?
Only Sound and Vision. Tried Randy's and they were so rude and a bit overpriced. Plus, S&V is just two minutes from my house. I'm in there two to three times a week, easy. Mike is just the best, right?
I thought that might be the case since it is so close to you. TBH Randy's is a last resort. They are a bit overpriced on some and the condition of the jacket isn't always the best. I love Mike and his stories. He's such a fun guy! It's half an hour away from me, so I don't make there as often as I'd like, but he has an open invitation for me to message him before I drive all the way there. Super helpful!
Did you see pictures of the new PA system for in-store concerts? Absolutely amazing!
What! No! Just checked it out. I hope this means more shows!
It should! Hopefully! Seriously, though, post when you're making a trip up. I'd love to meet another VMP-er!
Yeah totally! I will for sure.
Did you see there's a new record store in Orem? Kinda wanna check it out. So far!
Just talked to a friend about it today! If you go, tell me about it because my friend was not impressed with the customer service or the selection. He does look like he'd rob you or give you a hug, though, so I can't really judge his experienced would be reliable.
I tried to go today because yelp, website, and store hours all say they're open. Got here and it was closed. They had a sign on their door that said sometimes they close early if it's slow, but it was half an hour after they were supposed to open. It looks like a cool place, but I'm annoyed that they can't keep their own hours.
Uuuuugh. I hate it when small stores do that. It's one thing to be ten minutes late, but thirty? No thank you.
Yeah, it's a poor business model. I may check it out at some point, but I don't have a great first impression. And I'm not even convinced they opened at all today. Seems they just do whatever.
We seriously need to find a place around here to host The Spins.
Maybe Sound and Vision? I'm here by the way. Last minute stopen. You around?
Nooooooo! I'm working until 3:30!!!! :-(
Bummer! I'll plan better next time. But he said we could talk to Pam about the spins!
Yaaaaaaaaaay!!!!!!! The most he gave me was "eh... unless we get something way in advance, it's not worth it."
