Ever since the advent of file-sharing I've been able to stumble across bands and artists I may have never had the chance to hear before. Sadly, but understandably so, American audiences still tend to stay in our English language bubble, with the rare exception being a Psy song or a remix of a Yelle track. I have a deep love of non English languages, and especially music in languages that I don't understand. They could be singing about poop emoji's and I'd still think it was beautiful. So! All that being said, here are some neat non-English acts you can look into if you want, please throw some at me.

This is a Japanese experimental Trip Hop trio named AOR They have two EP's and are neat.

This is the atmospheric Norse poetry folk duo Wardruna. I have all three of their albums on Vinyl and they're AMAZING.

This a Danish Ambient Gothic one woman Black Metal act Myrkur. Do not let "Metal" scare you away from giving her work a listen. It's beautiful and intimidating.

And just because, here's a new Yelle track because the video's neat:

I mean, listen to this and tell me you aren't imagining yourself sitting at a cafe, gazing at the Mediterranean while sipping your frappe or ouzo and nibbling on some saganaki with the sounds of backgammon being played occasionally get louder than the music?

    I'm also realizing 2 things:

    1) You probably wanted Greek music with vocals. Bah.
    b) Discogs has deleted many of my Greek folk albums. Dammit. I hate how it does that.

Okay I'm ready to dive in. Where do you generally find these? Is it like in an international section?

Yes. And let's find some on Saturday!!!

I ALWAYS check the international section. I'll skip the rock area if I'm not in a big shopping mood, but I'll never skip the international section.

I'm not sure there's much of an international section at that store. But we can check! Yay, I'm so excited.

The last time I was in Fells Point, there were a few other stores in addition to Soundgarden. We can see.

As for non-english music, I think Sigur Ros would be a cop out so here is some awesome Swedish psychedelic music. I remember this song came out when I was in college and loved it.

Nice. I'm about 45 mins outside Baltimore in Hanover, PA. I've never actually been to Sound Garden though because I never really get down that way much.
