I was listening to this again last night and it sounds like it could be a mid 90s Depeche Mode song, sung by Robert Smith! Like I said, pretty stickying pudding fantastic.

Excited that Wish is finally getting the reissue business. 2 more to go after that.
Not sure if Bob will touch the live releases but it would be nice.
Found a boot of In Orange back in February while I was in San Diego. Missing about 6 tracks but the sound is impressive.
Would love for Bob get that out on Blu or I’d even settle for DVD.

    Wish is the dream!!!

And In Orange on DVD or Blu-ray would be the icing.

There seemed to be quite a bit of animosity towards the RSD picture discs of Mixed Up and Torn Down, mostly around surface noise. I bought both on RSD and whilst I do agree there isn't that inky black silence, it's really not that bad. I had the 90's Mixed Up on CD - Lovesong was a particular fave of mine.

I haven’t looked into it, are any of Bob’s vocals re-recorded?

Three Imaginary Boys was interesting. I think M was good. Not sure about Drowning Man yet.

“Like Cockatoos”?! Really. Also, I was disappointed in “A Night Like This.” But I enjoyed “A Strange Day” and “Shake Dog Shake.”

I really enjoyed “Plainsong.” He toned down the bigness of it but kept the main beauty of it.

Not sure we needed another “Never Enough” remix though.

Ok, here’s “from the edge of the deep green sea.”

Mixed Up and Torn Down are waiting on my doorstep right now! Very excited to spin them. I have been listening to the digital Mixed Up (Deluxe Edition 3CD) and I am excite.

I just noticed the Mixed Up remaster was half speed remastered. Cool.

Listening to the remastered Seventeen Seconds and I’m reminded again why I need to find an original pressing. There is something about Robert Smith’s mix that seems off.

Looking into picking up Disintegration at some point... opinions on the generally-available release (2010?) that's on Amazon?

I’ve heard mixed things. Some people have good copies, others have received noisy ones. I’m not that keen on the remaster (own the cd remaster) which is why I haven’t pulled the trigger on this reissue but I will probably cave eventually. The cool thing is that it includes the two songs which were not on the original vinyl pressing.

Thanks! Just now thinking of exploring their full albums after only having the two greatest hits albums + Wish (via my wife) for years. Disintegration seems like the next step.

Cool. You’re in for a treat. Go with The Head on the Door, Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me, and Disintegration before doing the others.

Disintegration was my first Cure album, just at the tail-end of last year. I bought the vinyl reissue and my copy is really nice. I know some people have had issues apparently, but mine sounds really good. I still think this is my favorite album by The Cure. But I am still just making my way through their discography, very slowly. I also own the Acoustic hits on vinyl, and I just got Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me, which I haven't listened to yet. I've listened to more albums streaming, but I'm not deep enough in to have any sort of ranking (also I haven't heard any of the later albums).
