A complete vinyl set is the next logical step in the money grabbing enterprise that is PF. I would buy it, but they could keep posters, stickers, marbles out and just focus on records and sleeves.

I was thinking the same - nobody cares about marbles and scarves...

If they were to do said-set, it would be fairly massive. Excluding Zabriskie Point, and the live albums Delicate Sound of Thunder and PULSE, the set would be a 19-LP tome.

    But I'd buy it : /

They would probably add all of the recent reissues (including live albums) + Endless River. I'm buying all of these to replace my old records, all are very good so far.

While you all wait for the vinyl box set.
Here is a well to throw your money down in case you missed or skipped last run. (And have the equipment...)

WYWH back in print as SACD.

5.1 surround mix by James Guthrie
    Assistant engineer Joel Plante
Mastered by James Guthrie and Joel Plante
Mixed and mastered at das boot recording
DSD authoring for SACD by Gus Skinas

a 45rpm amused to death is in that catalog, too. $120 or something.

Nice to see them get it back in print. Love mine and usually play it when I can. I have a SACD Marantz in my system, but I don't have any montior to see what I need to select, so I have to play it on my main AV setup in the Oppo. It still sounds good for the surround sound, but I'd like to hear the 2.0 stereo in my main music system at some point.

Damn...and the 33 1/3 AP one is already one of the best sounding records I own.

Indeed. I would not be surprised by one. What I would be surprised by is a reissue of the MFSL releases.

I considered going the SACD route, but the vinyl collecting thing is a money pit as is...

That said, I really like the artwork in these packages.

Dogs from the LP Animals is my favorite Floyd song. This early version is glorious also.

Happy to find this for cheap today. And in great shape as well. (Besides that title sticker...)

I picked up Dark Side Of The Moon recently (it's coming tomorrow) because it had dropped just a little bit in price. I probably haven't listened to this album since high school. I always liked it but still regarded it as a bit overrated because of how just ubiquitous it was. You'd see that cover everywhere (still do). And for the over-saturation, it just felt like I shouldn't regard it as one of their best. But I often found it kind of undeniably solid. I'm curious to see how it plays now, years later, and on newly remastered vinyl.

Yeah. It's an awesome album, but Animals is still better. Ha ha

I see what you're saying about it being over rated, but honestly I can't imagine stepping away from it years on end. I kind of wish I could because you'll come back and also remember what all the hype was about. I still preference WYWH, but Dark Side is also undeniably good.

I fell off listening to Pink Floyd for a few years and only in the past few have I started going back, mostly thanks to the new remasters. Anyway, I spun Dark Side yesterday. It’s the first time I have ever heard it on vinyl. And as familiar as it all was, it also felt like a new experience. It was pretty neat. And I still probably wouldn’t say it’s my favorite at all, but yes it still is undeniable how good it is and it still packs a nice punch.

Doesn't hurt that the new remasters have all been very well done too. They did an outstanding job with their entire reissue project.

I think Dark Side of the Moon is one of the best albums ever created and it’s not even my favorite Floyd album. It fully deserves the praise it gets, in my worthless opinion.

I love The Wall, but that’s the one I find a little overrated.
