Been a couple months since I've been to a concert. Don't know how the hell that happened.

But I'm seeing Christopher Owens next week. My wife and I have been big fans of his for a while. We saw Girls back on their first tour before Album came out, then Girls broke up and he did a solo album, Lysandre, about their first tour. And we were fairly young in our relationship at the time we first saw him, so as a couple we feel like we have a strong connection to the progression of his career.

Christopher Owens lives in SF so he plays here a lot. We also saw him back in October after A New Testament came out (an awesome album about love and atheism set to country/gospel music (and not ironically)). He's great live, and he plays both his solo stuff and stuff from Girls so that's cool.

If you don't know him, here's some good shit:

So what shows have you been to recently? Or what will you be going to? Or maybe you've been to a cool venue that we should all know about. What d'ya got?

I'm sure I'll be seeing something in the coming months, but I'm really excited to see Kraftwerk in October. It is definitely a show I never thought I'd be able to see.

Where is she playing now? I saw her in the basement of the Murat a few years ago and what a freaking show.

This will sadly be my first year since 06 not going to Bonnaroo. It breaks my heart a bit. I'll be seeing MMJ in July.

The last show I went to was Tallest Man on Earth a few weeks back. He played for a solid 2 1/2 hrs which was a pleasant surprise

War on Drugs are coming to Indy as well, I might go with a friend. I haven't really listened to anything by them. Any recommendations?

My next gig is a good one - Fleetwood Mac at London O2 Arena on June 22nd. Been waiting to see them for my whole life so will be a very special night!
Then 2 days later I'm off to Glastonbury festival, which just happens to coincide with my birthday so it all works out really!

    coming up:

    rolling stones 6/3
    bonnaroo 6/11-14

    festival palomino 9/19

i'm sure i'm missing a couple i just haven't put on my calendar yet.

What was Clockwork Indigo like? I really like Flatbush Zombies but don't know anything about this side-project.

So I was at Luna music in Indy today, and Stephen Jenkins from Third Eye Blind performed an acoustic set. Pretty awesome.
