I know it's weird. A few people asked about it a few years ago and it seemed to make more sense. If you were in the store and were three cents short, we have one of those take a penny/leave a penny jars. Same deal, really.

This is the line of thinking that makes Bull Moose one of my favorite online stores!

Vinyl diet engaged! Self inflicted by way of purchasing an integrated musical fidelity m6si this past Monday. Merry Christmas to me and here’s to the joy of relistening to my collection again.

:whistle:Theoretically, if I used a huge hunk of credit (not debt causing credit but like store credit) on a record purchase.... I haven’t violated my diet, right?

I may have ordered a bunch of internationally flavored music from the overlords.

Also, if my shipping page is accurate. Rip me in February if my wife sees that box.

So as part of my New Years turning over a new leaf thing, I’m supposed to be mindful of things in my life. For record collecting this means sticking to a list.

Right now I have one preorder out and I can get the classic pick each month. Here is the short list for the records.

    Music for 18 musicians/Reich
    To Pimp.../Kendrick
    Mambo sinuendo/Ryan Cooder
    Selva Obscura/William Basinski

I already have one ordered and have a 50$ gift certificate for Amoeba possibly being spent today.

Amen. If "Ships with February box" is to be believed it'll be 24 for me. If she finds the effing cube on our porch I'll need a couch to crash on for a few days/weeks/millennia.

Touch wood my January diet is going well, no temptation so far. That may have been helped by the fact that I ordered so much online in December...

The two Beatles compilations I ordered arrived at parcel motel so just waiting for them to be delivered to my box and my December VMP box and 2 suede albums are due in the next week lol!

I don't think I have a choice unfortunately. I haven't done it yet but I am strongly leaning that way. I have definitely stopped buying and canceled all of my memberships. I have a hot mess of records I haven't even listened to...and probably won't ever listen to. We are moving from Ohio to Florida and aren't taking much. All of the family is parting with things they hold on to dearly...FML. I am trying to load all of my sh*t into discogs...1/4 of the way there.

Very sorry to hear as it doesn't sound like this is a decision being made due to the best of circumstances. I hope you at least find a way to keep the cream of the crop to seed a future vinyl resurgence.

Is this just a storage issue? I'm sure you could find a member in either of the two states to babysit your records for you.
If it's a money thing I'm sure be able to sell most of it on here.

I appreciate the positive vibes. We are moving for a good reason...a job offer. So much of our things aren't worth moving. Our furniture has experienced kids for the past decade and probably needs replaced. We have found so much crap and clutter that just isn't worth moving. We are considering a fresh start almost and need we need to declutter our house now in order to list it. Everyone is pitching in. Lastly, as I look at my mess of records and how much I spent on my addiction, I'm growing tired of the grip this habit has on me. I kind of want to be free. For some reason I cannot find a balance in this area.

It is a storage issue and my wife saying how on earth did you get all of these! We are not taking all of this with us. We might not have a permanent place for a few months so that is an issue too.
